Ask anyone who knows me, and they’ll tell you that running is one of my favorite pastimes. From casual running to racing, I love a nice run to get outside and clear my head. This passion is why I jumped at the opportunity when the Illinois Marathon approached me for freelance work in 2017. 

Growing up in the Champaign-Urbana area, I had participated in some of the Marathon’s shorter races. Because of that, I was familiar with the organization and its brand entering into this partnership. However, this experience allowed me to appreciate better what goes into the marketing and logistics of such a significant event. Below, you can find a selection of work I did for the Illinois Marathon and their event the “Mile at the Pines.”
