In 2017, Rick Harnish, the Executive Director of the Midwest High Speed Rail Association (more recently named the High Speed Rail Alliance), reached out to me inquiring about a potential rebrand.
Rick and his team were looking to update the look and feel of their brand. Their former logo was a bit complicated in its overall design, unable to be displayed in a single color, and unreadable when scaled down.
Rick and I worked closely via email and in person to develop the idea behind the new logo. My aim was to create a design that emphasized the sheer speed of a bullet train, while simultaneously making the logo simplistic and readable at various sizes.
