Work at PerkSpot

The perks of being a designer

In Spring 2017, I began working as a Design Associate at PerkSpot. This SaaS company provides a platform to offer exclusive discounts to employees at client companies, such as discounts on hotels, gym memberships, and more.

Working at PerkSpot was a great learning opportunity and allowed me to work on diverse client projects. Below are a sampling of projects I worked on at PerkSpot.

Weekly Perks

The marketing team at PerkSpot sent a “Weekly Perks” newsletter to thousands of email subscribers each week. Occasionally, there was a need for custom banners at the top of the newsletter during the holidays, significant events, or other special occasions. As such, I created each banner to highlight these events while remaining consistent with PerkSpot’s branding.

Social Media Graphics

As a company that prides itself on being tech-forward, many of PerkSpot’s marketing efforts were dedicated to cultivating a robust social media presence. As their Design Associate, I created social media graphics to help promote PerkSpot’s brand.

Print Designs

Aside from the digital designs I created at PerkSpot, I worked on many print designs. Most of these designs were for PerkSpot’s client brands. My print designs were for corporate offices, employee conferences, and other locations where PerkSpot’s client companies could display these designs.

Below, two designs showcase a flyer distributed to Pandora music streaming service employees and a foam board poster for Toys “R” Us employees at a conference.

In both cases and for all client designs, I blended the client’s branding with the visual identity PerkSpot utilizes on its platform to create a look familiar to employees but cohesive with PerkSpot’s user interface.
